If you know anything about me, you know that I try not to waste money on anything not necessary and do many things myself. But in doing so, I have learned that sometimes I’m not the best person to do the job, especially when its extremely time-consuming for me to do yourself.

Peace of Time is all about productivity. One of the keys to being a successful, productive business owner is to automate anything you can. These days, there are apps for just about everything.
I recently started using Pinterest for more than just my DIY crafts and recipes: to promote my business and blog. I spent hours and hours pinning, repinning, etc. and I thought, “There has to be a better way! A more efficient way!” So, I looked into several apps to help automate, but wasn’t convinced to spend the money yet. Based on many reviews in several groups I’m in, I signed up for a free trial with Tailwind. Even if I chose not to subscribe at the end, at least I could take it a bit easier during December which is already busy with all of the holidays and end-of-the-year things to do.
I’m almost up to the end of my trial version and I will be upgrading to the paid version with no hesitations or regret. In my opinion, it is worth every penny and I will tell you why.
3 Reasons Tailwind is Worth the Money
If you don’t know, or maybe you heard it and ignored it, Pinterest is one of the THE BEST ways to get traffic to your blog especially if your target audience are fashionistas, DIYers, foodies or just women in general. Of course theres strategy behind it including the fact that you need decent graphics, but if you haven’t been using it yet, I highly suggest trying it out. When you do, you should sign up for the free trial of Tailwind. Why?
1 – It saves you boatloads of time.
I know you’ve heard the saying “Time is money” and it probably went in one ear and out the other. But it is true. Look at it this way, lets say you charge $20 per hour roughly to provide whatever service you do or to create whatever product you sell. Tailwind costs $104 per year, which comes out to $2 per week. Even if you only spent 1 hour on scheduling pins and repins each week, you are still saving $18. I was spending roughly 10 hours per week on pinterest, probably 1/2 of that being for scheduling and I charge much more than $20 per hour. It just makes sense. It frees me up to work on other things that are a better use of my time and my time is worth money.
2 – Right now you can earn credits to reduce the cost.
Maybe you are still wondering if you can just do it all yourself and save yourself the money. Well, what if I told you that you could earn credits to reduce the cost possibly all the way down to $0? So Tailwind lets you get referral credits worth $15 which is the monthly cost if you pay monthly instead of yearly. You can refer people by e-mail if you know some friends or colleagues that might be interested in the product or you can use a link and try to recruit people maybe you collaborate with on Facebook or even put it in your blog. Any time someone creates an account by clicking through your email or link, you get a $15 credit. Bonus: your referral gets the same credit! There is no limit on the amount of referrals you can make or the credit you can earn!
3 – Super easy to use.
Some apps take some time to get used to; you have to play around a bit to get them set up and running. Not with Tailwind. Its pretty much a “plug and play” type of app. The only set up you may want to do is adjust the time slots thats things will get posted into. You can also add a chrome extension that will allow you to schedule pins from any website. Because a common strategy is to pin the same pin on several boards (but not at the same time), when you schedule a pin, you can choose every board you want it to be pinned to and then set an interval so that they are pinned so far apart (for example, every 2.5 days it will pin that pin to the different boards).

As someone who always made people ask, “How does she do it?”, I had to learn how to fit more into my day without completely losing my mind. Now I’m excited to share how I did that and what I’ve learned with everyone else. I just want to see people able to live the life they want, doing the things they want, without the stress they think is normal. I want everyone to experience Peace of Time.
